Ooopsss...it''s Earthquake...Tremor...

Happieee Mother's Day and yes there was a big joke.


It's a lazy sunday, I was sitting in front of HP dv 3, watching GEE youtube and true I love their dances so much!


The sun was scorching hot and of course I sweated like hell.


All out sudden, the I felt a sense of dizziness, headache, the world was just like upside down *** exaggerated *** and I was like:" syok-lah, who asked u to sleep so late??!!"


But I felt weird...it aint't the way. I immediately stood up and I could feel the tremor. My instinct told me there must be earthquake somewhere else. This wasn't my first time!


I opened my Facebook and most Penangites and northen citizens commented...all were like suprised & shocked. Later Jacqueline told me in Twitter there's a 7.2 magnitude earthquake in northen Sumatra & Tsunami alert was activated.


Instantly searched through google news and within minutes it's the breaking news in WSJ & BBC. #earthquake top the trend in Twitter and FB status keep updated. Haha. This's why I like social media so much! Cannot imagine how world is going to be in 10 years time ! Excited!


And yes this wasn't my first time to feel the tremor. I was so lucky to be safe in a 5.5 scale earthquake. Yeah, it's earthquake not tremor.

It was back in December 2006 where I attended a student exchange program in Kaohshiung, Taiwan.

We're there to present ideals how to save environment in each particular country, for us Malaysia, we talked about Sea Turtles.

Aun Yee as sea turtle, classic! This made us the one of the best presentation among all.

And it was a winter December, after all the hard works we were pampered with a nice dinner in this restaurant. And this was where unforgettable experience begun.

All of us get seated nicely & enjoying a taste of latte and pasta.

Never forgot it was 26 December, classical music in the air and my wrist watch read 850pm. I couldn't really remember the time.

Abruptly the table was like moving, shaking with a loud noise! We thought our member did it out of boredom...well...just let go...and moment later there's real trembling! The cups and plates were like shaking on its own and the glass, dim lights were hanging periculously up there. U can FEEL the world is upside down!

The next thing: RUN !!!

All of us ran out of the cafe and only to realise that it was a 5.5 magnitude earthquake stroke 100km away from our place!

Phone calls couldn't be met and there're road accidents and some fire. U could hear some screaming and people hastily ran out from the building. Panicked.

I couldn't describe the experience in words but the videos can show how's the quake.

Vestibule and my semi circular canals couldn't back to normal for the entire night.

It was a horrible, but exciting experience!

Later back to home only realised the quakes we experienced. The first one - Strike-slip, which was less mild, that's why we just felt like the table was moving.

The second one...this's one can bring real catastrophe - Thrust. We felt like the world is upside down. Cause the earth crust is moving up and down.

Earthquake can be very horrible. It's like the earth gets mad and releases sudden energy from the crust and we people suffer.

The mum cried hysterically, unable to find her kid.

I don't know whether it's a coincidence or natural course, recently natural disasters are just like everywhere.

Would it really be the effect of human negligence and ignorance towards the environment? Global warming? or 2012? I don't really know.

But what I know millions of people perished in quakes.

The recent Haiti earthquake just took estimated 250,00 lives.

Life is too insignificant when natural disaster hits, isn't it?

But at least we can do something to reduce the risk. Know some basic knowledge like what to do when there's earthquake like hide in the wardrobe .

It's Mother's Day!

Mum brought me to this world and I thank her wholeheartedly for...everything.

Mum brought me up regardless all the circumstances and see, I'm standing here proudly as a 20 year-old potential guy.

Almost every year my mum's birthday falls in the same week as mother's day. There're few years which mother's day coincides with mum's birthday such as 10, May 2009! See how special my mum is. XD

Last year, I wasn't around in mother's day & birthday.

I was lucky enough to have a 15 days trip in Taiwan. And this was for you.

Hello everyone! How's life ?

Yeah, I know, in my previous post I promised to update but ended up inactive for entire month.

You know-lah, final exam approaching at the same time indulging in the world of microblogging - Twiiter - Oh yes, join me in this fun social media !

Recent Updates

Really, time passes amazingly fast. I can't believe it's 2010 and within 3 weeks I'm stepping into 20 year-old! Say goodbye to 1X. And yes, you know more things when you grow up and found out this world can be real cruel but opportunities are everywhere! We can have our dreams come true by having right decision & efforts.

1st year life in USM has been awesome. Yes, to be frank I never thought of continuing study in local institution. My perception of local uni life is no new exposure and no much fun.

But I have to keep back my words. So far I enjoy life in Penang USM. Met all sorts of awesome people who inspired me, and let me know how far can we go; wonderful hostel room ( Best hostel after UPM 17th college and I'm staying ALONE in the double room ! p.s I used to have a lovely roommate for few days); different societies, activities and etc.

I simply mix with everyone and explore anything as I know, I want an interesting university life and keeping myself at the room ain't the way. And yes, past 1 year has been a fruitful one =D

However there're regrets too, like I didn't managed to join MPP which could offer me another exposure, especially in strategizing and politics. Those who close with me will know I do really concern about politics.

Why? I wish to develop myself to a better person, and make this place a better place. And through politics is one of the best way. And yes in USM there're few intelligent people I look up to.

Well, will write more about uni life. I was keep inspired by different people from different circle of life. They can do it, why can't I?

Now let's move forward into semester break plans! My semester will be full of fun & great learning!

1. EYLN 2010, UKM, Bangi

ELYN - ( Entrepreneurship Young Learning Network) A must-go annual conference which is going to held in UKM from 14-16 May 2010. Well, being a business student inherently I like to explore to such conference which gives me much inputs and great creative ideals. Besides meeting with awesome youths like my age, I have the chance to learn from industry leaders such as :-

Yeoh Chen Chow (left 1) from BM, Penang. He holds a double degree in US, gave up enginnering job for JobStreet, and now taking CFA.

We had the same babysitter but I did not know him personally.

The theme for this conference is about Green & Sustainable. Businesses which is sustainable to the environment, at the same time can make big profit...any ideal?

2. International Office, USM

I'll be going back to USM on 10, 11 May to be buddies of students visit from University of Victoria, Canada. We will share USM info, basic Malaysia knowledge and Penang stories with them. Who knows, I might have chance to exchange in the relevant university?

3. East Summit, GE

Yes, thanks to wenxu and many thanks to Soon Lee who inspires me a lot. I look up to him and there're too many things I can learn from this person.

From here I believe I can really develop myself. Of course, no effort, there's no gain.

4. Majulah Singapura!

Most exciting part of all, going to the city state island! With the opening of resort world, universal studio, the sand marina bay, ion orchard...the city will just be more fun!

What I wish to really see is the urban development of the island and state of arts. How Singapore did it well Penang, once a competitor to SG decades ago, lagging behind.

Why Singapore transport system is known to be excellence while KL's is a mess?

And Yes, thanks to Jetstar I can make it to the trip!

Besides visiting SG cannot be more convenient with 84 weekly flights from Penang to SG. There're Air Asia, Tiger Airways, Jetstars, Silk Air, MAS which can compare for a better deal.

I visited Singapore when I was 3 and yes I had some vague memories. What I never forget is I cried ( I used to cry a lot when small, LOL) in the plane and the beautiful stewardess gave me a gift! XD

5. Program Pembimbingan Siswa Lestari ( LPPL ..oops.. is PPSL)

I will be back to uni 3 weeks earlier for traning to be facilitator for new intakes! I'm no longer junior then! It really cut short my holidays but I look forward to gain something in this program.

When you gain something, you lose something.

Last but not least, enjoy at home !

No matter where you have been, you will never find a place better than home and it's true!

Spending time with family and hometown friends will be the relaxing part of my break.

Blogger Content Policy - Think-lah before you write, research before you comment

Well, there're some arguements about what we can write in blogger and cannot recently. People get too worried of what is being written here. Well, as a citizen we have to follow the laws. In blogger we have a complete set of policies, which act as a guidelines.

I don't wish to talk much here. The Blogger Content Policy has it all.

Well, here goes the blogger content policy. I've done some researches for the blogger rules and regulations, policy and internet laws. But I have not come across with a rule stating.. sharing of a product from consumer point of view, or criticisms of facts which are feedbacks are wrong to post.

So, what I want to share here is, when we write something, yes, abide the rules, think of others feeling. Most importantly, before you start worrying or make a harch contradict comment, do your research first! Know what you talk! Don't simply just say as if everything is right.

I know you worry me out of love and care, but please know what are you worrying about? And why should you?
